The Relay For Life of Roselle Park will host its first-ever Chili Cook-off on Saturday beginning at 2 p.m. at Christ the King Church in Hillside.
This fundraising event will be a competition, allowing anyone to prepare his or her own chili recipe for taste testing. Anyone can compete by paying the fee and completing the entry form on the Relay For Life of Roselle Park Web site,

There will be open registration for the Roselle Park Summer Camp on March 18 and May 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Roselle Park High School, 185 West Webster Ave., Roselle Park.
According to Sam Appello, the camp’s director, the 2010 Roselle Park Summer Camp will once again be offering a wide variety of programs for preschool and kindergarten through eighth grade students. Camp will run from June 29 through Aug. 20, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. A 7:30 a.m. drop off is available.

ROSELLE PARK — A 20-year-old man was arrested on Jan. 14 for the alleged sexual assault of a 15-year-old student he met while working as a substitute teacher at Roselle Park High School.

ROSELLE PARK — Following in the footsteps of many of the state’s smaller municipalities, the borough has moved to transfer the authority of their zoning board to the planning board, which will now be known as the Municipal Land Use Board.

The Roselle Park wrestling team defeated visiting Passaic Valley 37-27 and Livingston 46-15 Saturday to improve to 6-0.
Next up is a big match at home against Brearley Wednesday - Jan. 13 - at 7 p.m.
The Bears are 11-1 and have defeated the Panthers the last four years in regular-season matches.
